The Harkie DEFIANCE Waterproof Trousers are designed specifically for arborists who work in demanding conditions. They are made from tough, lightweight, and breathable fabric. As a result, they deliver outstanding waterproof protection without sacrificing comfort.
These trousers are extremely waterproof and highly breathable. Therefore, they help keep you dry while allowing heat and moisture to escape during intense work. In addition, their durable construction ensures long-lasting performance in harsh environments.
They are available in grey, hi-vis orange, and hi-vis yellow. Both hi-vis colours meet EN20471 standards for highway use. Meanwhile, the orange option also conforms to RIS-3279-TOM for railway use. The trousers exceed EN343 Class 4:4, offering top-level protection against rain and moisture.
Made from RainBlok, Harkie’s bespoke high-performance fabric, these trousers provide excellent waterproofness and breathability. Reinforced knee and ankle patches use TuffStitch technical fabric for added strength in high-wear areas. This improves durability when climbing, kneeling, or moving through rough terrain.
Extra-long Velcro leg gussets allow you to pull the trousers on easily over boots. At the same time, the adjustable drawstring waist ensures a secure and comfortable fit throughout the day.
Heat-applied chevron reflective tape enhances visibility in low-light conditions. Two spacious waterproof phone pockets with branded zips keep essentials protected. A rear Velcro pocket provides additional storage.
The design pairs perfectly with DEFIANCE smocks and jackets for a coordinated look. Despite their toughness, the trousers remain lightweight and comfortable for extended wear.
Certified to EN ISO 343:2019 Class 4:4, they offer dependable wet weather protection. Sizes range from XS to 3XL, with both regular and tall options available.

We use a courier service to deliver larger items, which normally requires a signature. If you are likely to be out when our delivery is due, you may enter delivery instructions (e.g. ‘Please leave order in porch’) in the order notes as you check out. However, if you do ask for goods to be left on your property while you are out, the courier will be unable to get a signature, so this is at your own risk.
