Designed as a traditional 13mm climbing rope for double rope technique. Gecko has a tough and durable 16 plait Polyester cover making the rope supple and hardwearing – ideal for use with friction hitches. CE certified in accordance with EN 1891, Gecko can be spliced* but is also available in with either low profile spliced eyes or sewn eye termination.
The Marlow Gecko 13mm is a traditional 13mm climbing rope specifically designed for double rope technique (DRT). Its 16-plait polyester cover provides a tough, durable exterior while keeping the rope supple and easy to handle. This makes the Gecko rope particularly suited for use with friction hitches, rigging, and professional climbing applications.
The Gecko rope combines a durable cover with a strong core, delivering excellent abrasion resistance and long-lasting performance. Its flexibility allows smooth handling and effortless knot tying, even in demanding environments. The high-visibility colour options enhance identification and safety, especially when working at height or in complex rope systems.
The rope is UKCA and CE certified in accordance with EN 1891 Type A and also meets ANSI Z133 requirements. It comes with serial-numbered factory terminations for regulatory compliance, ensuring traceability and peace of mind for professional use.
Gecko ropes can be spliced, offering low-profile spliced eyes for seamless integration with hardware. Alternatively, they are available with machine-spliced eyes or two options of sewn eye terminations, providing flexibility depending on your rigging needs. You will receive an email letting you know when your order has been dispatched. Once your order has been dispatched, the delivery will be attempted twice on consecutive days. If the carriers need to try a third attempt, you may be liable for a re-delivery charge.
We use a courier service to deliver larger items, which normally requires a signature. If you are likely to be out when our delivery is due, you may enter delivery instructions (e.g. ‘Please leave order in porch’) in the order notes as you check out. However, if you do ask for goods to be left on your property while you are out, the courier will be unable to get a signature, so this is at your own risk.
