The DMM Sidewinder combines a captive eye connector with an integrated swivel. As a result, it gives you excellent control over load direction while managing rotation effectively. This design helps reduce twisting, prevent tangling, and maintain correct alignment.
You can use the Sidewinder in guided fall arresters, lanyard systems, and rope access setups. In these applications, control and consistency are essential. The built-in swivel allows the load to rotate freely. Therefore, it reduces rope twist and improves system efficiency during use.
In many situations, a connector must stay correctly aligned. For this reason, DMM designed the captive eye to remain fixed in position. This ensures predictable loading at all times.
You can stitch the textile-friendly attachment hole into rope or webbing. Alternatively, you can swage it directly onto cable. As a result, the connector becomes a permanent part of the system. This setup prevents removal and avoids misalignment during use.
The Sidewinder includes an aggressive loading groove. This feature guides the load into the correct position. Consequently, it improves strength and consistency.
In addition, DMM uses its patented Taperlock nose design. This design increases gate strength and push-in resistance. At the same time, it creates a smooth, snag-free connection. Therefore, ropes, slings, and devices move easily without catching.
