ISC STRYDER Foot Ascender (R) – IS-RP227A1
The ISC STRYDER Foot Ascender is a high-performance climbing device developed using extensive feedback from professional arborists and rope access users. Designed with durability and functionality as top priorities, it delivers smooth rope ascent and reliable engagement in demanding work-at-height environments.
The STRYDER uses proven geometry to ensure efficient upward movement on the rope. As a result, it provides a consistent and controlled climbing experience. The stainless steel cam features a coned cam-face, which grips the rope securely while minimising wear on the rope sheath. Therefore, it offers both safety and long-term performance.
Great attention has been given to the cam spring tension. Because of this, the device maintains a firm hold on the rope without accidentally disengaging. At the same time, it moves freely upward without dragging the rope, improving climbing efficiency and reducing fatigue.
A key feature is the foot-operable cam lever. This allows you to engage or disengage the cam easily using your foot. In addition, you can hook the lever over the body of the device to keep the cam open when needed. This adds convenience when positioning or removing the ascender.
The cam lever is also removable. Therefore, you can customise the device to suit your climbing style. Removing the lever increases the cam’s range of movement. As a result, you can release the rope using a simple kick technique with the mounted foot.
The STRYDER includes a highly durable mounting strap system. The webbing and underfoot sleeve use specially developed materials tested for abrasion resistance. Because of this, they perform reliably in harsh and demanding conditions.
The fully adjustable strap system allows precise positioning on your boot. For example, you can adjust both horizontal and vertical straps to achieve the ideal fit. Once set, the creep-resistant webbing and secure buckles hold the device firmly in place throughout use.
Fitting and removal are quick and simple. The main strap tightens by pulling the webbing and releases with a one-handed toggle action. As a result, you can adjust or remove the device efficiently, even while working. The anti-slip buckle design also prevents unwanted loosening during use.
Overall, the ISC STRYDER Foot Ascender combines strength, adjustability, and ease of use. In conclusion, it is a reliable and versatile tool for arborists and rope access professionals who demand efficient climbing performance and long-lasting durability.
